James Forson spends a great deal of time near the centre of an intricate Venn diagram where management consulting, fiction and business writing, social investment governance, home-grown vegetables and procrastination overlap.
James is a latecomer to writing. It was sparked by writing a biography of his father for a family history. He found that he was full of stories that had to see the light of day. He attended school in Worcester, South Africa, where his initial love of books was fostered. He studied further at the University of Cape Town and was dragged into the world of business with work experience in the mining, steel, pharmaceutical and banking industries.
For the past 22 years he has been an independent management consultant working with clients across a broad range of industries and environments.
He is married to Merle and they have an adult son, Tim. They live in Johannesburg.
He likes to say that he knows very little about a great many things.
